Flame Retardants
Barnett does not apply any flame retardant chemical treatments to our cushions, and we do not purchase fabrics that have been treated with flame retardant chemicals. We are committed to the health and safety of our employees and customers.
Water Resistant Fabrics
Barnett does not apply water repellant chemicals to our cushions. Most of our indoor/outdoor fabrics are water resistant by virtue of being made of yarns with specially shaped fibers that shed moisture and dry quickly. These next generation indoor/outdoor fabrics with inherent moisture resistance are superior to textiles made from fibers treated with water-proofing chemicals that can wash off and lose efficacy over time.
Stain Resistant Treatments
Barnett does not apply stain-resistant chemical treatments to our products, but some of our fabric suppliers treat some of the fabrics we carry with a soil release finish prior to shipping the fabric to us. This can be removed by washing with mild detergent on gentle cycle in cool water.
If you prefer to shop cushions made with fabric that has never had a soil release finish applied, we have two collections available that have never had any chemical treatments added by us or the fabric supplier.
